Did you remember the 21st night of September?
Last night I learned how to dougie with my roommates. Do you dougie? It’s always time for dancing in September.
I was sitting on the back steps of the chapel this morning, holding my head in my hands and being a general grump because it was too damn early. I watched passers-by taking pictures of campus for a moment before redirecting my attention to the nothingness that was before me.
Then I saw a tree. The Tree.
On just a little hump of a hill there was a tree tilted at a forty-five degree angle, but perfectly straight; taunting gravity and daring its roots to let go.
Good for you, tree! Thanks for making waking up worth it.
I am not a Taylor Swift fan.
She’s a little too twee and a little too simple for me. Mainly, she sings like how my mind worked when I was a preteen or younger.
But this? This is all the best parts of that and it is so adorable.
